• Welcome to the blog of Luxe Fête. We are a full service international event planning and design studio based in Miami, Florida. Global clients seek our services to plan, design, and produce their events. We have executed events around the world, with much of our work featured in national publications. Before channeling my creative energy into this field, I was an attorney at top law firms and clerked for a Federal Judge. It did not take long to realize I’d rather be telling stories by transforming spaces and creating beautiful atmospheres. Stay awhile - we would love to hear from you! Father Daughter Wedding Dance Song

The father daughter dance is truly a touching moment. It’s when your dad feels he can officially hand over your credit card bills to your husband and its when you can relish in the moment, knowing you will always be his little girl no matter what. There is no rule that says the father daughter song has to be about, well, a father and a daughter. And even if there is such a rule, you guys know my philosophy – – Break It. My advice is to simply pick a song you love that reminds you of your father and precious moments from childhood. One of my daddy’s favorite songs is L-O-V-E by Nat King Cole. Super sweet and so much fun:

P.S. Get better soon Dad!

Haute Indian Wedding Inspiration Board

“I want a super bright Indian-inspired wedding infused with lots of fun passionate colors,” said one of my favorite brides.  How do I translate that into “crisp and very chic” – her other requirement? Luckily, that is the beauty of design. You take what inspires you, blend it with what you want to achieve and then [boom], your perfect wedding is designed. It’s even easier when you realize your inspiration does not have to come from bridal magazines. As corny as it sounds, inspiration for your wedding lies within. It’s how you feel when you see those delicious pair of shoes, or are in that beautiful museum or just lounging outside, one with nature.

This first thing I needed to do for this special couple was research the amazing culture that is India. The groom is of Indian descent so it was really important to make it the base of the design and tone of the wedding. Indian weddings are very bright events filled with celebration that can continue for days . . . a true PARTAY!

I could not help but fall in love with the splendid colors of India. The reds, mangos, saffrons, fuschias and golds clearly play an intricate part in their lifestyle. It just screams joy.  Needless to say a beautiful and chic Indian-inspired inspiration board was born. The rich colors balanced with stark white and sleek lines will be the touchstone for every aspect of their wedding – one filled with passion, life and vigor. What are your favorite Indian-inspired color palettes?

preeti - Love the orange dress! So fun and funky.

But the photo with the model in all gold (wearing long black hair and weird gold headpiece) was terrible. She looks grotesque and not all at indian.

‘Bout Time: Meet Miami Wedding Planner and Party Planner Nathalie A. Cadet-James

How exciting to finally join the blog world! It’s been long overdue for us here at Luxe Fête Event Planning and Design Studio. We are very passionate about creating beautiful weddings – so trust me, we have lots to share, exchange and inspire.  First an introduction:  My name is Nathalie A. Cadet-James.  N-A-T-H-A-L-I-E , note the silent “H” after the “T” (French name, of Haitian Descent).  I love all things beautiful, exotic and romantic.  I am married to an incredible man, my “babe” Brian.  And I am the lucky mother of two super sweet baby girls, JoJo and Lucca.  In between designing and producing your dream wedding, I balance scrapbooking, photography, traveling, breastfeeding and keeping an impeccable home and fashion sense.

In anticipation for this introduction, I wanted to share pictures of moi.  I could not think of a better backdrop than the lovely and “haute” Viceroy Miami.  I love Kelly Wearstler and the hotel serves as the site for one of Luxe Fêtes upcoming weddings (a very chic Indian-inspired affair – wait till you see the pics!!!!).

Really looking forward to this blogging journey with you, so please feel free to drop a line any time!
